That was depressing.
Lives in Moscow for two years. Completely obliterated my previous understanding of “alcoholism”.
When I look at the pictures, the word “modern” does not come to mind. They look very backward and “crude”… not the most advanced country in the world.
A lot of these photos are of people in poverty and the associated problems, such as addiction, like alcoholism. And you’ll find that the world over. I’m not gonna laugh at them. Not SnD at its best.
This collection of pictures is heartbreaking. While you can find this poverty anywhere in the world, there is a terrible sense of hopelessness in these people. Better to drink yourself to death. That way, you feel the cold less in your open-air prison.
