Jesus this is what passes as comedy now? Its like someone took the yawn-inducing banality of The Far Side and mixed it with low IQ political takes of late night TV hosts. Hell, none of this was even clever. What a milquetoast attempt at humor. I bet you get offended by old TV commercials.

I’m a cartoonist, not a comedian! But hey, good job on using ‘milquetoast’ in a sentence (in this century, even).
I’ll be honest. I didn’t find any of these funny. But I know that everyone has different humor. My humor is dark and focuses on stuff that’s actually happened to me. Though that’s just half of my humor. The other half is just silly dad jokes I make up with my dad. I’m not even a dad, heck I’m a women!
I’m not sure. Does Jim like the cartoons?

I used really common and short words for you. Banal, no. Simple, yes.
All of these were clever. Many were hilarious. These are what I would expect to see and have seen in The New Yorker.
Jim, go back and take a look through these again with a bit more of an open mind.
