When Joan Cornella started to create demotivational posters, he had a dream. To crush other people’s dreams. Who is he? Joan Cornella is a Spanish cartoonist and illustrator, famous for his unsettling, surreal humor and very dark humor comic strips as well as artwork. If you wish to see more of his weird comics and are not easily offended, check out Mox Nox on Amazon. It’s a collection of Joan’s comics. The book is in Spanish, but it doesn’t matter, because characters in his comics do not speak. Meanwhile, scroll down to check out some of his best (worst?) demotivational posters!

Uhm…..
How was this so incredibly non-funny?
Was it too tame?
Too relatable?
Or too obvious?
This did not challenge the status quo, subvert expectations, or cause any emotion whatsoever. I guess it was not true art.
1/10, would definitely not reccomend someone use this to even wipe their butt.
Well, if hung up in a work place, they would be funny in an ironic way. But on their own, they’re kinda lame, to be honest.
Not the best.
I don’t generally like to leave comments that are negative, but I agree with Al-Anonymous and John E.
Maybe these would be funnier, as John E mentioned, hung up in the workplace, but they are so forgettable that I think they’d even be stale in an endless sea of beige cubicles.
These remind me of a Garfield cartoon – you know that you are supposed to be amused, and on some level, you want to be, but it’s not even clever in its banality.
Not even close to funny
What a herd of smug and pretentious *****. As if humor is solely obsequious to the lot of you. But alas, I must concede and agree.
These gave me a good chuckle
The company the Art of Demotivation is much tighter
Dark humor and all it needs is more darkness 😄
