If you’re looking for some cartoons to share with your grandparents, look no further! Doug Hill is a 76-year-old and is also known as the Laughing Hippo Studio. His comics are full of puns, wife-husband jokes, and other real-life-based humor. In his own words, “Everyday scenarios, especially when taken out of context, are a goldmine for humor. Current events and popular trends also spark ideas. The joy of creating a cartoon and seeing people smile because of it is what keeps me going.” Scroll down to see the best examples!
The gyno one was funny.
Beware of the beaver
If only they were clever and actually really funny.
Getting attacked by a nest of yellow jackets is funnier than these cartoons. They suck.
If they’re so bad….
Don’t read and move on.
Though not uproariously funny, they did make me smile, and isn’t that the point?
I haven’t smiled once…
…should we discuss about tastes or is it legit to not like something?
Oh, by the way… to realize it’s not funny I actually have to read it. I can’t just move on after the first… you never know the next one may be funny!
Not funny
Never laughed once!
I actually thought quite a few were humorous.
Most were good
Some very good
Those that didn’t like them may not realize the subtle humor that goes with the easy to understand humor
OR just think of themselves as too cool too laugh ; many egos like that
I thought they were funny enough to read every single one. It’s nice to see normal situations gone awry.
The cartoonist is 76 guys! What do you expect?
I’m 74, I guess that’s why I liked them. The Roman numeral cartoon was clever!
I like the one with the turtles, that made me laugh. Thanks for the cartoons!
