Real estate agents get to see houses of all shapes and sizes, from modest to mansion, along with some truly interesting architectural choices. Just like with fashion, everyone has their own idea of what works or not and there are bound to be some design fails along the way, and real estate agents get a front-row seat to the madness. Agent Venessa Van Winkle wanted to share just how weird and random the interior of some houses are, so she called on her fellow home sellers to share photos with her of the bad, the ugly, and the bizarre. Scroll down below to look inside these unbelievable homes!

that last picture though… lol
I’ve seen the upside down door before. The owner said he wanted his dog to be able to look outside.
The positioning of some of the toilets does make me scratch my head, but I cannot imagine walking down the staircase with a prospective buyer (photo 8) and saying, “Just in case…You’re in a hurry..?”
The owner has even attempted to make it look like…”Hey,it’s just another bathroom.”
You can never have enough bathrooms?
Oh there are SOOOOOOOO many to pick from. But the first with the bath besides the stairs is the most terrifying, considering you will have wet feet and slipping!
I don’t even know what the heck I’m looking at with some of them!
4th one down…I’d go outside before I used that. Creeptastic.
picture 4 = art installation!
The one with the toilets next to each other: one of the toilets is obviously not installed… Check the piping…
Number 4 would stink like urine or else you would have to steam clean all the plush bits every few days
I agree that 4 is disgusting – before I even get to the “design” I wonder, how do you clean that place? Yuk! Also notice the chandelier in 3. Most of the others are weird fixes to space issues but #3 is just plain cheap or lazy.
the lonely toilet at the end of the long hall.
These are amazing finds. That tub by the stairs is insanity and the carpeted bathroom is going to be full of mold and ickiness.
The scariest is the tub by the stairs; there are several very funny ones; I sort of understand the upside down door; and the overdecorated kitchen might be cute if the decorators had shown some restraint!
Plumbing can be deadly or just plain insane! I thought the stairs by the bathtub was the most likely to kill you. The carpeted tub with the electric heater on the side could be a real buzzkill too!
DIY is often DI…WHY?!
So glad y’all love my post! 💜
Some of those pics hurt my eyes, like #4, the upholstered bathroom. The 2nd pic (long hallway to the toilet) would be terrifying to use at night.
I have a friend whose whole house looks like the fourth one down. Even all the small appliances in her kitchen have floral covers. Pantry doors have additional floral curtains in front of them. It’s creepy — and I’d suspect a cleaning nightmare. She has women come in twice a week to clean. they only do part of the house at a time.
They wanna get my boobs on the ceiling
I’m going blind it’s just a matter of time
The Carpeted Toilet Room looks more like an art piece than something intended to be used. It’s also in pristine condition, as if never used. This little room is so over the top that it’s amazing.
Look closely at the floral carpeted toilet room, the toilet paper roll, the towel, the toiletries on the shelf, the toilet scrub brush and everything else is made of the same carpet. This is not a photo of an actual bathroom from a real home – rather it is an art installation. So it doesn’t really belong in this series, but its very amusing and well executed. It fooled a lot of people.
I actually like the upside down door…this way a dog can look outside….
My OCD cannot handle the 3th picture with the chandelier :(
Sixth from the bottom, those tiny curtains. 👀
I am thinking some are hotels? The one with the door upside down is for the dogs to look out, the boob lights are a church.
I could give a pass to almost all of these abomination but definitely not to one to the “narrow” toilet, what a stress!
Yea Gods! and people live with these? Are they used? I don’t know what they are on but I don’t want any of it. Firstly get your buyer stoned out of their mind You might have a sale until they sober up. Thanks for the laugh
Ok, some of these are funny, some are scary, some are crazy and some are of artistic interest… but the chandelier hanging OUTSIDE of the decorative center would drive me JUST PLAIN CRAZY! I would have to have an electrician or contractor move that immediately. Could not SLEEP at night looking at that ceiling….
The ones with randomly placed toilets remind me of nightmares where I really have to use the facilities but they are all located in public areas.
The one with all the doors is creepy.
That bath and kitchen combo (5th picture) is obviously meant for a mermaid:)
number 4 should scare the crap out of you trying to get out of there as fast as you can.
The one with the two valances that don’t belong to anything…cracked me up.
The bathroom halfway down the stairs, I could pee from the top of the steps. It would take practice of course. Women could probably do the same.
It has to be the first one with the stairs next to the bathtub. This one is deadly.
YE GADS!
How did they manage to take pictures of my nightmares?
I feel like these are all not real. I think it’s fake, right?
I honestly do not know how any of these seemed logical or who built them.
all of them are horrible!
I can’t believe that the designer is just like yep, that doesn’t look totally weird.
number 11 looks like a horse has been touring the place. must have been attracted to all that green
