Just like people who stick beans everywhere, these bored internet users make shoes out of bread and share their creations on Instagram under #BreadShoes tag. What’s your take on this? Are bread shoes just harmless fun or should it be frowned upon for wasting food in a stupid way?

Not very practical
David Byrne invented bread shoes in 2004.

And HR Giger did it in the 80s.
Ok its kind of creative and funny… but millions starving every day..at least donate them the price of a breadshoe (donating even more is better ;) )
If my mother or my grandmother had saw this, they would have been sooo indignated, soo angry… In France they had suffered a lot from starvation during the 2nd WWW. They need some tickets for having bread, if there was bread.
It’s funny, but please don’t that. Don’t. none knows his future.
One way to pass the time. It’s nice if you make them out of the failed tough bread. Longer lasting and, if they’re vaguely clean, can be added to pet food in the end. Just without the nasty bits.
Man does not wear bread alone… Where are their arugula socks?
as long as they still eat it afterwards, i am fine with it.
Half of the produced food is thrown away and half of the planet is starving. I wonder how it will end?
Where I’m from (Latvia), if you drop a bread on the floor, you pick it up and give it a kiss, and any kind of playing with the food is considered an absolute misbehaviour.
That’s a shame.

So, you might find this interesting: Technically, this “trend” got started in 1975, by a controversial young indie painter by the name of Hans Reudi Giger. Yes, THAT GIGER! The same guy who designed the Academy Award winning ALIEN was rocking bread shoes before it became cool! You can google a picture of it!
