Baby boomers are typically considered to be born between the mid-1940s and mid-1960s. They are the result of the end of World War II, when birth rates spiked. Millennials (also known as Generation Y) are people born between roughly 1980 and 2000. When the generation of millennials grew up and became adults, they were almost right away accused of crashing the economy and baby boomers were very concerned that millennials were eating too many avocados. If they didn’t buy so many of them, they could have bought a house already. Also: Netflix subscriptions and lattes are to blame (according to baby boomers). So we decided to collect some of the most memorable comebacks the millennials threw back.
Some of those boomers invented the net and those devices you connect with. Enough with the myths that they are all thick, most scammed people are in fact younger
Gen-Xer here: Both of you generations are total buttholios.
And us gen xers are laughing at both of your groups.
Gen x are just as bad as boomers
I hate everyone
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn! The ‘SILENT GENERATION’ looked down on us BOOMERS and complained about our hellish lifestyles and horrific values. The BOOMERS are just continuing and passing on the tradition. MILLENNIALS–your turn to bitch and whine over the shortcomings of a ‘younger generation’ will come in time.
I’m a boomer and it was my parents who put carpet over our hardwood floors. The main reason it was done was because women were gaining equality and entering the workforce and didn’t want to have to buff and wax the floors every six months. Many of us baby boomers were the first to restore those floors with polyurethane.
Complaining on a website boomers have no ability to find… classic millennial.
I already hate gen Z
1) The last boomer was born on December 31, 1959, so unless the person you’re talking about is wearing a diaper right now, you’re probably actually running yourself down a lot more than whomever you’re actually referring to.
2) Character is **not** being the first generation to recognize that the previous one ruined everything; it’s recognizing that literally every generation in history has had claim to the same idea, and dealt with it.
You really think the guys on the landing craft off the beaches of Normandy were filing complaints about their CO’s and telling each other that they shouldn’t have to be there because it was all the older generation’s fault? Or did they, you know, GROW UP and realize that they aren’t that special?
lol, the comment section just proves the point.
With many exceptions, boomers are a generation of lord of the flies.
They grew up after WW2 and their parents, in case they survived, were victims, perpetrators or just war traumatised people who couldn’t function in society anymore.
They were children who did whatever they want without being confronted with the results of their actions. They still are.
But this generation comes to an end now.
It would be wise of us to refer to them less as ‚those horrible people‘ and more as a tragic social phenomenon. Because such phenomenons tend to repeat themselves.
Born in 1953 and still diaper free! First time I’ve done that war cry! Older folks bitch about kids. Kids bitch about old farts. Just try to love each other. It’ll get better.
Boomer here. Lifelong computer guy, still technically current. I gauge individuals, not groups. Hard working, honest, ethical? Lazy, dishonest, unscrupulous? No age range has a monopoly on quality of character, be it worthy or worthless. So I conclude that most of the tweets are from the self-centered worthless collection.
Um Born in 1970. The boomers are the generation ending in 1964.
I’m old enough to remember how much the boomers and their parents hated each other.
“Don’t trust anyone over thirty.”
“Get a haircut you pinko!!!”
As a boomer, I just want to say… Sad how you can’t figure out how to get yours after we got ours. Work smarter, not harder. Make do with what you got. No one forced you to go to college, so suck it up. I smile when I think about the fact I’ll be long dead before you really begin to feel the pain of the world we left behind for you! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Millennials and Gen-Z really only have subtle differences. Gen-X is a lot closer in mentality and policy choices to millennial than boomers, which is really the generation that’s weird and screwy.
I think the thing that makes boomers different is world war 2. The aftermath of that war left America a “superpower” while impoverishing most of the rest of the world. These economic conditions lead to a generation of Americans who could easily afford a house and support a family with a single worker with a high school diploma. Attitudes of boomers make a lot more sense through this lens.
Can’t buy a house with a college degree? You must be a lazy idiot who is bad with money.
What sort of stupid generation can’t figure out how to get theirs, we got ours!
a couple of notes-
no one picks their parents. a corollary is that no one picks when they’re born. therefore ageism is just as unjustifiable as racism.
only losers use the phrase “no fair”.
