Ridiculous Album Covers of 1970s Swedish Bands

Stylish beards, satin outfits, blocky fonts and some of the most hideous fashion you’re ever likely to see, it’s all here and more, designed to make your eyes bleed. These abominations come from a music genre “Svenska dansband” which translates to English as “Swedish dance bands”. It’s a genre of Swedish popular music that originated in the 1950s and became very popular in the 1970s and 1980s. The music is characterized by its upbeat tempo, catchy melodies, and dance-friendly rhythms… and completely ridiculous album covers.

  1. FFS leave your moronic politics out of this. Do you have nothing else to think about or post? Is your life that pathetically empty? You can’t come up with something more intelligent than that? You probably would’ve been better off being abandoned unborn. Jesus. What a butt.

  2. 1st album, last 2 figures,Javier Bardem & Woody Harrelson from ‘No Country for Old Men’!

  3. I feel like the “Teddy Boys” album is in violent breach of the Trade Descriptions Act, but I don’t know of any Sweden-UK litigation over it. Strange!

  4. Hi, I am from Brazil, please make one like this with brazilian artists.
A 100% sure you will find material to post 4 or 5 pages like this.
Thank you, I am laughing a lot here.

  5. You who are not amused have no sense of humor. You probably look like one of these guys!!
