Did You Know That Cats Eat Bananas?

Bananas are non-toxic to cats. They are safe to feed to your feline friend, and it turns out that many cats actually enjoy them. We can’t quite put a finger on what exactly is so funny about cat eating a banana, but as you can see from the pictures below, it does look hilariously weird. Does your cat also eat bananas? 1. Bananas are ok in small amounts but the high sugar content can still make them sick. So the answer is yes they can eat them in very small amounts but too much and you might be cleaning up a lot of vomit and eventually bill for the treatment of feline diabetes.

  2. Our cat absolutely hates the smell of bananas – you could chase him round the room just by holding a banana peel – so I’m surprised other cats don’t seem to mind.

  3. 2 OF MY CATS GET 2 BITES OF MY MOM’S DAILY MORNING YOGURT, WITH BLUEBERRIES, RASPBERRIES, STRAWBERRIES, PEACHES, MANGOES, OR KIWI IN IT!!!! THIS DOESN’T SURPRISE ME AT ALL!!!!! MY 2 CATS EAT ORANGES TOO, AND CATS ARE SUPPOSED TO HATE THE SMELL OF ALL CITRUS FRUIT!!!!!

  4. My cat Pixie used to eat salad. Like full leaves of Romaine lettuce. She would meow and wail until she would get some. My other cat, Mr Purr, ran to get some and would leave disappointed every time. Oh, the entertainment!

  5. I’ve got a cat that will eat Celery leaves and leafy Lettuce (different types) too.
    He’s so weird… ;-)

  6. Bananas are dangerous for cats. I always have bananas in my kitchen because I suffer from a chronic potassium deficiency, and I thought it would be ok to leave them out in the open because of all the videos that I see online of cats jumping away in fear of bananas. Well, last year I went on vacation for a week, and I left plenty of cat food and water and six litter boxes in my apartment for the cat, because I couldn’t find anyone to look after her.

While I was on vacation, I met a fantastic woman that I immediately clicked with and I decided to extend my vacation for another week. It was a magical time, filled with moonlight walks, endless conversations, and the sweetest lovemaking I could ever imagine.

We got along so well, that she invited me to meet her family, so I stayed away one more week. Her family loved me immediately, and when we told them that we decided to get married, they gave their unanimous consent and were overwhelmed with joy. We hit the town hall, signed the papers, and went off on a two week honeymoon in Hawaii.

After the honeymoon I left my wife to go home and get some more clothes, and I was horrified to find all my bananas had been eaten by the cat… it was just a huge pile of peels on the kitchen counter!!!! Also, my cat was dead on the floor. CLEARLY either bananas are bad for cats, or she slipped on a peel and fell to her death. Either way bananas are bad for cats.

Please don’t expose your cats to this killer fruit.

  8. Please don’t listen to Important Warning. Intentional negligence and poisonous food are not the same thing.

  9. You literally left your cat to starve so that you could marry a random stranger. I don’t care how much you love her, thats just cruel.

  10. Everybody saying “my cats eat citrus” and “oh my cat eats like bananas all the time”
